Mary Booker was a fierce writer, passionate performer, community leader and so much more for and within the Bayview Hunters Point Community. Her passing saddens us to this day. We at BVOH wanted to honor her legacy by sharing a recording of one of her signature poems “The View” accompanied by portraits taken by Anne Hammersky.
