On Thursday, April 14th, come to the Bayview Opera House Ruth Williams Memorial Theater for the Opening Reception of the “Portraits of Bayview: Cultural Intersections” exhibit featuring the photographs of Filipino photographer Ricardo Ocreto Alvarado.
The evening will feature wine, refreshments, guest speakers and more.
This event celebrates the cultural legacy of Filipin@ Americans in San Francisco, California, and in particular the Bayview/Hunters Point Neighborhood. The photos have been curated by The Alvarado Project led by Janet Alvarado, daughter of Ricardo Ocreto Alvarado.
This event will be our featured event celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Month and is supported by SOMA Pilipinas, The San Francisco African American Arts and Cultural District and the Bayview Opera House Ruth Williams Memorial Theatre.
